Lawyer & Founder

JULIE LAMOTHE

Highly regarded for her strong reputation in family and child protection law, Julie is dedicated to upholding justice, safeguarding children's rights,

ensuring families receive the support and representation they deserve.

 

As founder of Lamothe Law, Julie leads with integrity and prioritises children's well-being.

She offers clear guidance and values every client's story, approaching each case with empathy and respect to ensure clients are treated with dignity throughout their legal process.

 

Julie is known for fiercely advocating for her clients’ rights. She is an active member of the Family Law, Child Protection Law, and Consent and Capacity Legal Aid panels. In her panel work, she promotes access to justice for vulnerable populations, protects parental rights, and ensures that clients with complex family, protection, or capacity matters receive equitable treatment and robust legal representation.

 

In addition to her legal practice, Julie values spending time with her family and has an interest in coffee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for COMPASS, where she contributes to supporting children and families across Northern Ontario.

 

Julie is deeply committed to making sure every client’s voice is heard. She does more than represent—she empowers and inspires.

Associate Lawyer

TIANA ST-AMOUR POITRAS

Tiana is an associate at Lamothe Law, specializing in family law. She is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal services, aligning perfectly with Lamothe Law's mission to support families through challenging times.

 

Tiana holds a J.D. from the French Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude, and a B.A. in Law and Justice and Psychology from Laurentian University. During law school, she was actively involved in the Social Justice Society and mentored younger students, showcasing her commitment to professional development and community engagement.

 

Before joining Lamothe Law, Tiana gained hands-on experience at a boutique family law firm in Ottawa and the University of Ottawa’s Community Legal Clinic. These roles equipped her with the skills to handle complex family law cases effectively.

 

She will serve on legal aid family law panels, underscoring her commitment to accessible legal services. Tiana is eager to help clients navigate their legal matters with empathy and expertise.
